Pricing, read before it is felt
Give the rate
its full sentence.
No number here
This page explains how a rate is read. It does not quote one. Rates are published per model and they change.
Three parts, in this order.
Good pricing is not a wall of decimals. It tells you what is measured, when the rate applies, and where to verify it before the request moves.
Read as a sentence
The rate applies to the model you named, is read from the active catalog, and is confirmed by the receipt you keep.
Model
Choose the workload first. The rate is attached to the model that actually runs, not to the account in general. A family name is not a price.
Basis
Read the basis from the active catalog at the point of use. Group and account terms can change the number you pay without changing the published rate.
Receipt
Keep the usage record beside the decision. A rate you cannot reconcile after the fact is not a rate you can plan with.
